Women make better cooks than men, top chef Marco Pierre White has claimed.
The celebrity chef, new host of Hell's Kitchen, has claimed that the emphasis women place on taste and smell make them naturally better at preparing food than males
.
Yorkshire-born White was the first Britons to win three Michelin Star and suggests that females are "more precise" in the kitchen.
"Women in my opinion are better cooks than men in the sense that they have a better palette, because their sense of smell is more acute," the 45-year-old cook said.
"They don't take short cuts like men. They're not as fast as men on the whole so they tend to be more precise in what they do."
Meanwhile, recent research from George Manson University found that married men are less likely to carry out domestic chores, such as cooking, than live-in boyfriends.
