The Real Wedding Crashers, a show dreamt up by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg is taking the weddings of unsuspecting Americans by storm.
Actors, posing as guests and those involved in the wedding, create mishaps on the big day, much to the horror of the real guests.
Stunts have included the vicar taking a call on his mobile during the service, a wedding planner dropping the cake and limo getting steamrollered.
The show's producer, Ashton Kutcher, told the Charlotte Observer: "In order to keep the show as lighter fare and something that's enjoyable, we made it our goal not to ruin the wedding or create a big catastrophe, but [instead] create something that people are not ever going to forget."
Fortunately the happy couple are always in on the joke, but the guests don't have a clue what's going on.
Catherine Reitman, an actress on the show said: "The bride and groom are in on everything. They sit down with us at mid-week and we make sure they approve of everything and it's what they want.
"They are able to pick the marks, who we are pranking. They really are the doctors behind it," reports the Star Phoenix.
