The top ten most expensive celebrity divorces have been put together by Forbes.com.


In the number one spot are Basket ball legend Michael Jordan ex-wife Juanita, whose divorce is pending. It is expected to end in a settlement of $150 million. This would be the most expensive in entertainment history.

Neil Diamond and Marcia Murphy come in at two after a settlement worth an estimated $150 million.

At three is Steven Spielberg whose split from Amy Irving, after just four years of marriage, cost around $100 million. Today, however, he is worth $3 billion.

Harrison Ford and Melissa Mathison are at four. They couple's break up was worth $85 million. Mathison also scored a portion of Harrison's future film earnings.

Kevin Costner and Cindy Silva are at five, who met at university. The two were married during Costner's highest earning years. The settlement was worth $80 million.

The pending divorce of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills is expected to result in a $60 million deal. He reportedly rejected the prenuptial agreement she offered. They are at number six.

Titantic director James Cameron and former wife Linda Hamilton score highly at number seven, after a settlement worth around $50 million.

Michael and Diandra Douglas, who married six weeks after meeting, are at eight, with a settlement worth an estimated $45 million.

Lionel and Diane Richie, who adopted daughter Nicole, were divorced in a settlement worth around $20 million. Among Diane's requests were a monthly clothing allowance of £15,000 and $50,000 for manicures.

At number ten are Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, married for nine years with two children. The divorce settlement was estimated at between $15 and $25 million.copyright
