Northern Irish accents are the most attractive in the UK, according to a new poll.
A survey conducted by Travelodge revealed that Cold Feet star James Nesbitt and The One Show's Christine Bleakley were voted the celebrities with the sexiest voices.
The study found that the most loved accent however is the Geordie twang, with TV hosts Ant and Dec and the X Factor's Cheryl Cole topping the list.
Other famous accents which proved popular included Edith Bowman's Scottish, Tess Daly and husband Vernon Kay's Lancastrian and Cat Deeley's Brummie.
However, Londoners came low down on the list, with Cockney-esque accents as owned by Amy Winehouse and David Beckham voted in last place.
Yorkshire accents were believed to be the most trustworthy, while Brummies were the most boring.
Commenting on the findings, Greg Dawson, a spokesman for Travelodge, said: "Regional accents - whether you love them or hate them - are as diverse as ever in Britain, but it seems we have something of a national communication problem on our hands, as many Brits simply donít understand some of the UK's most loved regional dialects."
