A British man was arrested on his own stag party for swimming naked in a fountain in the city of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Stephen Mallone, 25, was sentenced to two months in prison which would have meant that he missed his £20,000 wedding, but has fortunately been released.
His parents and British diplomats were involved in getting the guilty groom out of jail, after which he was thought to have headed back the UK.
Before he was released, his fiancee Kerry Stokes told a national newspaper: "I'm struggling to take it all in and it has made an already stressful time even worse."
The bride to be, aged 22, is said to be going ahead with her hen night in Butlins this weekend.
The wedding will take place next Friday and according to reports, the pair are to have a chocolate fountain, along with 250 guests from across Europe who will not be disappointed.
