Too shy to approach the hottie you spotted in a club this weekend? Well, fear not, a new flirting craze could help you bypass the need for that awkward first conversation.
A new language which uses hand signals has been developed to help flirters make contact with people they are attracted to.
The various hand gestures can be used to tell someone they are cute, ask if they are single and, for bolder flirters, there is even a sign which invites them to bed.
There are also a host of responses including, 'I'm with someone', 'maybe later' and if you're unlucky 'no way!'.
It is based on the signals used by scuba divers to communicate under water.
The designers say that by using the language you can "watch your social garden explode".
Designer Lillbet Foster is quoted by the Metro as saying: "I wanted to invent a dating sign language where you can communicate things in the first five minutes."
