Johnny Knoxville, the 'brains' behind the Jackass phenomenon, is to divorce his wife of 12 years.
Knoxville is said to have cited irreconcilable differences when filing divorce papers, having separated from Melanie Lynn Clapp a year ago.
He is seeking joint legal custody of their 11-year-old daughter Madison, whose name is tattooed across his chest.
People magazine reports that Knoxville has agreed to pay an "unspecified amount" of spousal support.
The stunt master was linked to Jessica Simpson, who was then married to Nick Lachey, during the filming of Dukes of Hazzard, to which he said: "Usually you just laugh and go on. But if it's something like they've done to Jessica and I, it's not as funny because I have a wife and kid.
"Luckily my wife is understanding. It's show business."
Jessica was also quick to shoot down the rumours, but later split from her husband.
Knoxville's other film credits include Daltry Calhoun, The Ringer and the ever-popular Jackass II.
