Cameron Diaz has found herself yet another new love interest in John Mayer, according to reports.
Mayer, a singer-songwriter who had a hit with No Such Thing, is the former boyfriend of Jessica Simpson.
The pair split in June, following numerous break-ups during their tumultuous relationship.
But he seems quite happy to have moved on to the Charlie's Angels star.
The 34-year-old actress was seen out and about with Mayer in New York this week, less than a year after her break-up from Justin Timberlake who she was with for four years.
The New York Post reported that the pair were seen enjoying a romantic meal. An onlooker said: "They were very playful and cosy."
They were also said to have ordered cocktails and to have "lingered over dessert".
Diaz's friend is said: "This was technically not their first time hanging out. But this was the first time together like this. It's new and developing, but they like each other and it went well."
