The car is playing a significant role in the love lives of Britons, a new survey has revealed.
A poll by Holiday Autos revealed that the car is the choice of many for making and breaking relationships, as well as a host of other antics

An impressive 18 per cent of respondents admitted to having scored with another driver by swapping numbers at traffic lights.
Some 58 per cent confessed to having made love in their car. The favoured position was flipping the passenger seat down.
However, love was lost in the cars of 16 per cent of people, who had split up with their partners in the car. Many even confessed to leaving their lovers on the side of the road following an argument.
Some unfortunate drivers even claimed to have lived in their cars following the break-up of a relationship.
Other activities going on in cars cited by respondents included mooning, singing, partying, dressing up and even mystical experiences, in which drivers and passengers have seen ghosts.
