Bath is to become the home of romance and pleasure this weekend, as lovers are expected to head to the historic city for a getaway.
The top spot was awarded to Bath following a survey of staff and customers at Ann Summers, who favoured the city's "boutique chic" as the UK's most romantic offering
.
Other popular destinations for couples included Newquay, Brighton, Oxford and Leeds.
Brighton was particularly popular since it is home to Hotel Pelirocco, boasting individually-themed rooms including the Durex Play Room with a mirrored bed.
For more elegant romance, West Wittering in Sussex ranked highly.
And of Edinburgh, Ann Summers customers said: "[Edinburgh has] breathtaking views of Calton Hill, gothic glamour at the Witchery; the best castle in Europe."
With so many romantic locations on offer, couples have no excuse not to take a mini-break to their nearest city of love and soak up some Bank Holiday fun.
